At DocuNode, our fundamental architecture is designed around your privacy. All document operations—including generating invoices, compressing PDFs, merging, and converting files—happen entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly (WASM).

Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We physically cannot view, store, index, or share your documents because they never leave your device.

2. Data We Collect

Because our core service is completely local to your device, our data collection is minimal and restricted strictly to account management functionalities:

Account Information: When you sign up via Google Sign-In, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture to maintain your premium subscription status and identify your account securely.
Subscription Data: We may maintain records of your payment status (managed securely via third-party processors).

3. Local Storage (IndexedDB & LocalStorage)

DocuNode uses your browser's native `localStorage` and `IndexedDB` to securely save your invoice templates, client rolodex, and user preferences locally on your device. This data is fully controlled by you and persists securely offline. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser cache.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services minimally to provide authentication and infrastructure:

Google Identity Services: We use Google OAuth to securely authenticate users without maintaining password databases.
Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting, anonymized analytics to measure total page views, without tracking individual user actions inside the workspace.
